Re: Is This For Real?

MSRP is $750.00

Mold parting lines has long been a thing of the past...or so I thought.

Perhaps this is just an isolated case; future releases will tell us, I suppose.

Rogue buses in NJ are known to track and run over people wearing blue jackets.

well.....China, yes, or anyplace else where the manufacturer or importer have no pride. You will get some responses here to the effect that it's just fine, they're all that way, and maybe questioning you for being observant. I have had to trim, file and repaint so many locomotives, rolling stock......

Is This For Real?

I don't know if this is ok, but I've taken a couple of photos from the OGR site to post here: Lionel H10.jpeg Lionel E6.jpeg Examples of the shoddy work coming over from China; I would have thought that these mold lines went out with the Dodo bird, but apparently not. I don't wish to bash anyone or ...

Is It Just Me...?

I've been participating in numerous discussions over at the O Gauge forum, mostly about issues people are having with their latest (and often expensive) purchases. I will often add lines like "to each his own" or "no offense intended", yet it seems like it's MY posts that either ...

Does this qualify? IMG_20180923_092119522.jpg 4 1/2 pounds, sans tender. For those of you who haven't seen this on the "O Gauge Forum": I bought this for under $50.00, to use as a display item, then decided I'd like to run it. Couldn't get it to function properly (not having a "TMCC&q...

Re: Yet Another Shameless Self Promotion

That is awesome. I hope you'll be having some sort of on line catalog at some point... If you've been following the discussions regarding P:48 and Q scale over on the OSR Forum, you've noticed I've mentioned his name a few times. He was "in his prime", I suppose, just about the time I was ...

Re: Hudson on Ebay

I shouldn't say anything here, as I know nothing about this kind of stuff, but...those wheel flanges look awfully small for 3 rail, don't they?

Thread drift time...

I've always thought Humble Pie's "Performance: Rockin' The Fillmore" is one of the all-time great live albums...

OK, back to trains... :)

Re: Did I do my Pacifics?

Very nice.

I'm sure it's "accurate", but that big 12-wheeled tender just looks too modern for the engine.

As you would say, "Opinion". :)

Re: eBay frames and shells not bad and priced low

I wonder if that shell is "lost-plastic?" You mean a plastic master was used to cast the brass copy? I'm guessing the plastic master would have to have been an Atlas F9(?); that's the only plastic F unit that comes to mind right off. I think the brass shell in the picture is an F3. I know...

Re: Did I do my Pacifics?

They say the Pacific is the most popular steam locomotive. I suppose that could be true. I know that, for whatever reason, the most common wheel arrangement I have ever owned in HO and N were 4-6-2s. In HO I had several Tyco/Mantua "B&O" examples: a Penn Line/Bowser K4 and the NYC K11...
