Re: Just because you can, doesn't not mean you should, but I did.
Funky and neat at the same time :!: I keep hearing how 3D printing is the savior of O scale model supply, but I'm not seeing the influx of available models. Is it just that the information who's making what available is not getting distributed to the masses or is it just hype? I am not sure that pr...

Just because you can, doesn't not mean you should, but I did.
Just because you can, doesn't not mean you should, but I did. This was the final test of our new printer and an O scale version of a Baltimore and Ohio 40 ft M-27F This files were sent to me by Ryan Tamburrino back in 2022 and although there was a two piece version that I could have printed I never ...

A new PA in town
After having these and Lou repowering three of them and Jay helping with the wheels, I knew I was not going to be fully happy with them, So.. at the March Meet I found an beautiful set repowered by Cockerman, and they run as smooth as silk. Now to sell off the others... https://rdsrr.com/PA/PA_01.jp...

The Best ebay find in awhile ;-)

Re: New Toy
How hard is that plastic the printer spits out? Hard. I have seen some on-line make small gears. Don't think I would go that far... But for many are building truck side frames and Sara has built a very nice tank car and frame. I know you hate to do this but check out this thread https://ogrforum.og...

Re: New Toy
Very interesting. I know almost nothing about 3D casting and thought the item made was applied to the model. But, it sounds like you're using the 3D item as a pattern and then have the item cast in brass. Is this always the way? Both. Many use it to make things for themselves. I'm using it for that...

New Toy
After seeing the fantastic results from Serge Y. Lebel and Sarah Griessenböck I made the plunge and bought the Elegoo Saturn and built a home made curing box. We shall see but I suspect great things from this. One part is an O scale journal box for the SDL39 project and the other is a signal box cov...

Re: What’s on your Workbench?
I needed (wanted) a few things. One was an old-timey single lane bridge to cross two tracks as a scenic break. The other was some tank car projects I wanted to do. So since Glenn Guerra was doing some etchings for CLW as well as his scratch built tenders, we added some items to the sheets. So I now ...
