Re: Somebodies F-200 4 Truck Flatcar
I'm NOT disputing Brian's post, but I think there was a similar piece was from Carl Auel (sp?) as in Auel engineering. I think I saw it in an old issue of O Scale News. That and a buck will get you coffee. A lady by the name of Janine Gatch (Carl Auel's secretary, I think) inherited the business fro...

Re: Do we need to make this more attractive?
Then, there is E7's iconic bit about, "If you don't like it, don't read it." That is exactly why no-one is here. They don't like it, hence... Glad to see I've reached Icon status! You've NO DOUBT forgotten more about O Scale than I'll ever know (really), why not post somet...

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Just my opinion.
Politics, as in the Club Car. Nowhere is it said that anyone is required to go there. Don't like a topic, stay away.
My opinion is the biggest problem would be joining here........were I not already a member, I wouldn't know how to become one!

Re: Market watching is interesting these days
Could it possibly be the inability of some to stay on the original topic of the post? The originator of the topic was commenting on ridiculous prices on Ebay. Shortly thereafter things degenerated into: "What's wrong with this forum?" Maybe if folks kept on topic, and put all the crap in t...

Re: Sunset GG1
On a different tangent, I have to admit that I was not aware that Sunset did a GG1. There have been a lot of versions. I know the old ones: Alexander did two: a pre-war cast bronze and a post-war cast aluminum. Baldwin also did a cast bronze version, which I think is a decent model and, for my mone...

Re: Northern weather
Well, the white pine came through unscathed, but a second round of ice set for Saturday evening. They’re calling for snow a couple days next week, but I’m tellin’ ya, it’s unlikely. I’m going to pick up the repaired snow-blower on Saturday...that should guarantee no more snow. Pretty much a guarant...

Re: Midwestern Model Works Latest?
The March meet is not all that far away (dang, I won't be going again). It will be interesting to see if MMW makes an appearance. I have no skin in the game, but I hope he pulls a rabbit out of the hat for the sake of those that do. I DO NOT derive ANY pleasure from other folks pain/losses.

Re: Midwestern Model Works Latest?
This is obviously opinion. If you are willing to put out money on this sort of thing, you better be willing and able to lose it. Regardless of the legality or morality, it (loss) is a definite possibility. Now how many of you guys are in for the series of 25 Heritage engines? I'm 77 years old.... :l...
