[quote="sarge" If I was to offer any advice to anyone who really is worried about their estate, it would be to build and paint yer shit. Folks will buy your finished models done well long before they'll buy your virgin kits and shiny brass. That's where it's goin'. Stop worrying about buyi...

Re: Amazing but sorta useless facts

Some really nice cab forwards will appear on eBay within the next decade or so. Or they will go in the dumpster. Being fatalistic, I think it's a pretty fair bet, it will ALL end up in the dumpster sooner or later, Consider the idea how much stuff is laying around from years past (apart from museum...

Re: Pacific Limited MOW car question

Never fear Butch, we can weasel out of our mistakes by calling them senior moments! I have a few of these cars, but they are nicely painted, so I never looked for ways to take them apart! As I recall, Pat O'Boyle came to a sad demise, but then, it's that way a lot of the time! They (PL cars) are, in...

Bob, Sometimes I have trouble walking across the room, and I'm a mere 78! LOL Mr. Modine was indeed one of the greats. Maroon and his brother (Jim and Pete) are good guys for sure, and VERY talented! If I knew half the stuff they do, I'd be happy! We have an abundance of talent on this forum and I a...

Some people just like all the gimmicks! Hatches that open to nowhere. Noise....I mean Sound, etc. etc. LOL. My priorities are: does it look right and run right.

Nothing really "gee-whiz" about it, to be honest. Certainly not worth an additional premium (in O at least).

Brian,

Just some praise for one of the elder statesmen of this board, Bob Turner. One look at stuff like the Woody D&H challenger restoration and you know he is the real deal. One of the really good guys in the hobby!

Re: Midwestern Model Works Latest?

Those three features -- realistic working fans, opening hood doors and illuminated lights everywhere the prototype units have them -- were innovations that MMW's models were supposed to have. Now they're available in a mass-produced HO plastic model. Hello Chris, I don't recall the date (guess I'm ...
