What part of "Hersey has 2 plants in PA." was unclear? They make more chocolate products there than ever - Hershey’s Milk Chocolate bars, Hershey’s Milk Chocolate with Almonds, Hershey’s Syrup and millions Hershey’s Kisses Milk Chocolate. Across the street they make Reese’s and Kit-Kats.

This is a list of their candy made n the USA. I can not confirm if it is true. Saying " Distributed by Hershey does not indicate made in America. A few webpages claim " Hershey makes their holiday candy in Monterey Mexico.

There is NO "made by" per se on the Reese's miniature cups packaging. The package is simply stamped:

The Hershey Company, Hershey, PA 17033-0815, U.S.A.

www.askhershey.com or 800-468-1714

I'm not sure if they still market it, but for a while they sold "Reese's Peanut Butter"

One could buy the peanut butter and Hershey's chocolate, and make their own peanut butter cups. Fine by them as you were still using Hershey products!

Pretty sure that if stuff is made outside the US, it must be stamped with the country of origin.

Yes, all correct.

Real headscratcher why robert is so stuck on believing that Herseys doesn't make stuff in PA when it's painfully clear that they make a lot of stuff in PA. Probably consumed too much Nestles chocolate?

I know Hershey makes things in pa. I’m saying “ they make their holiday candy outside of the USA. They make most of their miniature bars in Mexico. “ i will also say “ one website i looked into was misleading about Hershey. With its claim about made in America. “ after reading the whole page. There was a small statement saying “ in America by union workers” i took that as candy not on the list to be made overseas. I never took into consideration it could be made here by nonunion workers. I would think they would say on their bags. “ proudly made in America “ apparently they don’t want to say that.

All I can say is that I haven't noticed it, but I don't often "read" my candy. It would not surprise me!

Dream on....they only want to put on the bag what sells another bag to people that buy candy. Probably would cost more than the candy to change the printing. They aren't caring about where it comes from, only at most the cost. It's all about the money; got to keep that focus on the decision making motivation.

Just to give you an idea of the games that are played, they asked employees for a way of to use less chocolate without making the size of the bars smaller.

The winning idea was to cut the letters on the bars deeper.

Country of origin is not requires on a products package. It is required to be on the outside of a box used for shipping. If x amount of bags are in a box. only that box needs to say where it came from. Only customs and boarder protection require this. Not the FDA. Simply remove candy bags from marked box and place on store shelves.

If I were selling a product made here in the US, I guarantee you it would have made in USA somewhere on it! It's called smart marketing. If you see two comparable products similarly priced, one marked China, one marked USA, which would you buy?

and I suggest you read this:
