Re: Whatzit?
Creative and clever, Rufus, but no.
Given that guess and our little history between us on this forum, you are going to be amazed when somebody figures it out and I reveal what it is part of.

Both are oddly relevant, somehow.

Re: Whatzit?
Is it the folded cloth that goes over the ciborium?
You begin flying with a full bag of luck and an empty bag for experience. The object is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.
Re: Whatzit?
Are you showing us pieces of a nun's habit?

Re: Whatzit?
Could it be part of the 'attire' worn by a nun, a priest, or other 'papel' entities?
Forgive me, but I am not of the Catholic persuasion,
and I am not (intentionally) making fun of this fact.

Wayne,

Re: Whatzit?
Part(s) of a nun's habit is correct! Specifically, the headpiece, which is com posed of three parts:
+Coif - close-fitting whitecap that holds the headdress in place.
+Wimple - covers neck and cheeks.
+veil.
Such head coverings are considered symbols of complete consecration of the Nun or Sister to God, as well as a statement of unity with a religious community.
Shown here in answer to your success, guys , in making the right deduction, are broader views of those two nuns, as well as a couple others which I had intended tempting you with had you not gotten the correct answer...

Every nun I ever had, as a boy, as a student in Catholic elementary school, for 7 years, I loved dearly.
To this day, I cherish the nuns with whom I come in contact, as I did today, at a commemorative Mass our Pastor offered in remembrance of those lost on 9/11. They sat directly behind me in our pews, which meant I got to hear them sing along with the entire congregation during the progress of Mass. Total joy.
Thank you, Rufus, John, Wayne, Myron, and Healey, for taking part in my little romp. I hope you had a bit of fun; I sure did.
