Cars are still very personal to our generation IMHO and like much in life, is a choice driven ( :D ) by a multitude of factors.

I think it's more than just our generation; they are a very 20th century USA thing.

$50K? My man, you live in an alternate universe.

Too low? Too high? It was an arbitrary number. Have not bought a new car in close to 8 years. $40 work better for you - top Subaru Outback is around there....
There seems to be a congruence between $40K and boring clone Outback...but, that's just me.

That was the exact point - clones and boring cars unless you spent over some # to that qualified as exotic. However, mine has 155k miles on it so far.

Either someone spent a fortune on acrylic body work or are masters of Trompe-l'œil painting.

Brought to you by the happy home with trees and flowers and chirping birds

Making an effort to slowly sort through the mountain of stuff that's accumulated in this house over the last 35 years...it's daunting. Found this little Lorenz replica wind-up lurking in a cupboard, still in its replica box, lol:

I seem to remember Lorenz being a German company, but this was made in, guess where...China. Don't recall where I got it.
