Coronavirus:
Re: Coronavirus:
He’s giving us the worst case scenario, which is a perfectly reasonable approach in his position. Nobody knows what’s going to happen for sure, obviously. I do personally plan on getting a second booster at some point. As for those unvaccinated they better hope that paxlovid keeps working as it’s the best treatment available so far.

Re: Coronavirus:
I got my second Moderna Booster on Tuesday, also at CVS, which is where I got the first Booster , last November . No trouble or discomfort afterwards whatsoever. As with the first, and the original Covid vaccinations ( in 2 parts) I made a point of resting and napping throughout the balance of the day, each time, thinking it best to give my 7-decades-old body time and energy to assimilate and adjust . Each time felt excellent to have done; better than awaiting a prospective arrival of Death via Covid.
It all feels right.

Re: Coronavirus:
Good choices. Vaccination against infectious disease is the major public health advance in medicine of the last few centuries
. Clean water and air are also important, but not medical advances per se, rather engineering advances.

When democrats LIE they call it a MISSTATEMENT....
Operation Warp Speed Head Says Trump Administration Responsible For 90% Of Vaccine Rollout
Moncef Slaoui, the head of the vaccine development partnership under the Trump administration, described recent claims by President Joe Biden that his administration was left without a coherent vaccine plan as a “very negative description of the reality.
“In fact 90% of what’s happening now is the plan that we had,” Slaoui said, continuing: “We constructed specifically 100 million doses of the vaccine, but we also built into the contract options to acquire more vaccines once we knew they are effective.”
FDA Approves First COVID-19 Vaccine August 23, 2020. Since Dec. 11, 2020, the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine has been available under EUA in individuals 16 years of age and older
White House says it 'misstated' that vaccines were unavailable when President Biden took office
The White House said it 'misstated that vaccines were unavailable in January 2021'
The White House is walking back a tweet stating that claimed "there was no vaccine available" when President Biden took office, issuing a follow-up tweet on Friday night saying that it "misstated" the availability of COVID-19 vaccines in January 2021.
On Thursday, the official White House Twitter account tweeted "When President Biden took office, millions were unemployed and there was no vaccine available."
The original tweet drew fierce criticism from other Twitter users, who pointed out that there was a COVID-19 vaccine available when Biden took office on Jan. 20, 2021.
President Biden even shared a picture of himself receiving his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Dec. 21, 2020.

Re: Coronavirus:
Daughter has a co worker who tested positive. My daughter has some symptoms and takes a home test. It’s negative. Still unsure she goes to urgent care and gets a rapid test. It to comes up negative. The nurse says we don’t trust it we are going to send it off! There is so much bullshit surrounding this virus it’s unreal! Send it off for what? To some how turn it into a positive test? You can’t make this up!
Re: Coronavirus:
Rapid/home tests (one and the same) are tests for viral antigen (protein) and less sensitive than nucleic acid (RNA/DNA) tests that are done by a different technology, named polymerase chain reaction (PCR) that tests for the viral genetic material. It's not common, but happens (particularly early in viral infection) that the home/antigen test (done by measuring antigen's interaction with the diagnostic test's antibody) is negative, but the PCR is positive. If the antigen test is positive, there is no need for a confirmatory PCR. Those are the facts from someone with board certification and 47 years experience in laboratory testing.

Re: Coronavirus:
'Second pandemic'?
During presidential remarks on COVID-19 vaccines for children under 5 years old, President Joe Biden alarmed Twitter users when he spoke of the government preparing for a "second pandemic."
A reporter prompted Biden’s head-turning remarks with a question on what spending the U.S. government is still prepared to do in order to manufacture and distribute more vaccines and maintain the infrastructure necessary to combat COVID-19 as it lingers throughout the country.
Last week, the CDC and FDA authorized emergency use of the COVID-19 vaccine for kids as young as 6 months old.
"I know you’re looking for more money from Congress for this vaccine campaign and for COVID funding going into the fall," the reporter told Biden, before asking, "How much of the supply of vaccines for these small children is there and how many of the nation’s kids will you be able to get vaccinated before you need more money from Congress?"
Biden responded, "We’ll get through at least this year," before stating, "We do need more money. But we don’t just need more money for vaccines for children eventually. We need more money to plan for the second pandemic."
Biden reinforced his revelation: "There’s going to be another pandemic. We have to think ahead."

There's a cheery concept to consider.
Just remember: what horses consider play, monkeys consider business, but to Tom it’s all foolery.

Yeah. Makes me wonder what he and his Chinese extortionists have planned.
If you agree with the Progressives, it's freedom of speech. If you disagree, it's hate speech. There are no alternatives.

This one probably is despite all of the idiots that continue to deny it was real.......to million dead people.
We got off quite lucky......this time ....despite being completely unprepared combined with complete ineptitude from the very beginning.
But the aftermath is very much alive and active as we had not really recovered from the 2008 idiocy.

You are apparently easily misled, presumably informed by malicious, misinformed or just plain deranged news from people who range from idiocy to evil in their nature.
We are still seeing close to 100,000 deaths per year at a low point in the pandemic. We have good preventive strategies and therapeutics, but they are not uniformly adopted or accepted or available. Things could get much worse again, and we don't know the long term consequences of some COVID-19 infections (so-called long COVID-19). Could well overwhelm our health system and employment with fatigue, respiratory problems, heart disease and similar poorly understood problems. It's not hysteria to realize there is a problem. If ignoramuses like Tucker Carlson and a few idiotic doctors ran the country during the 1940s, we'd all be speaking German or Japanese as our first language

2008. The democrats took control of congress and Obama was elected president.
2008 began with the collapse of the housing bubble, which led to the Great Recession. The resulting economic downturn and general discontent.

I couldn't find anything about a virus or pandemic for back then. What have you got for idiocy

How many?

As opposed to Joey the Dunce and co handling things?
More people have died from Covid on his watch than Trumps.
