For some it might be better if the beer came before or at the same time as the vaccination.

They do recommend that you increase your intake of liquids both before and after the shot.

The two shots (Pfizer) were a non-event for me. Didn't even realize that the first one had been given the gal did it so quickly. I watched the second one go in. Waited the required 15 minutes and walked out each time without any noticeable effects.

Should be, but I'll wager there will be those that won't have any still.....and it might be interesting to see if they are able to get the combined covid/flu done & approved by then, too.

Highway Patrol arrests the guy 24 and his girlfriend 23 who shot 6 year old Aiden Leos in a road rage on the 55 freeway 2 weeks ago. It seemed that they had little to go on but a blurry picture of the car they were driving and you couldn't read the license plate. I have heard that police labs can do things where maybe they could at least partially read the plate. But in the news conference phoned in tips helped.
There is a half million reward. They will be in court tomorrow. Bail for each is 1 million. They were arrested at what looked like their apartment in Costa Mesa in Orange county. Their car was at I think his grandmothers maybe that was a big tip. A nice looking house. His grandmother had to know, that car was on TV everyday for 2 weeks. I wonder if they are building a case against the grandmother as a accomplice. Not a real common car and that helped. They also have the gun.
With sentencing enhancements they could get 25 years to life.
His memorial was Saturday and funeral today. Huge story here and I imagine everywhere.
They have Instagram pictures of him at a shooting range and he has guns hanging on the wall. Very rare in gun hating Democrat party California.
My take he is a gun nut who had one with him and when she did something to slight him he shot into the rear of her car to show her. Kind of ironic that the bullet would go just where the little boy was sitting.

California thieves swarm Louis Vuitton store, steal more than $100,000 in handbags, police say

A manhunt was underway in California this week for a "coordinated group" of 11 suspected thieves who ran into a Louis Vuitton store and fled with more than $100,000 in handbags, according to authorities.

Police said the incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. Monday at a shopping center in Palo Alto, about 30 miles south of downtown San Francisco. The group stormed the store, grabbed 36 handbags, and fled the scene, an investigation revealed.

"They exited the store quickly, ran through the mall, and fled in five vehicles prior to police arrival," according to Palo Alto police.

Palo Alto police said a similar case occurred at a Neiman Marcus store in the city last month, though the vehicles used in the incident were different

During the May 19 theft, a group of at least 10 suspects ran into the open store and made out with 43 handbags, valued at more than $150,000, police said.

I never understood how some handbags can be so expensive, or suits, or sheets. It's not a precisioned machined engine

Considering the collapse of 1/3 of a 12-story residential building in Florida , near Miami , overnight, I wonder if the authorities will discover that the collapse was due to the ever-increasing number of sinkholes that have been proliferating in Florida for several years now (due to the gradual intrusion of ocean level increases ?)

Or maybe just old concrete that just wasn't up to the job?

Or maybe just old concrete that just wasn't up to the job?

I recall learning that under normal conditions that it took concrete 100 years to reach its maximum hardness. ???
It may be that salt air/water may have an affect. Just guessing.
Of course it might be just poor construction.

The debris pile at the base of the building seems to be kind of small given the size of the building? I suspect it's actually filled/partially filled in the sink hole?
