Well, that's our fault now isn't it.

Yes it is. I tried For first district congress (bucks county) I had enough signatures to be placed on the ballot But no votes from the previous election. I would need 12,000 voted from 2018. In order to get an invite. You need 10 percentage of last elections second place . You can't get an invite before your second campaign.

Congrat's for trying. Seriously. Brave soul in Bucks Co.

Maybe.......we keep calling for term limits and then the incumbents generally get re-elected so either we only think that the incumbents other than our own are the problems or there's just not enough choices available at all.

It's fun or ??? to debate all of this, but there's no changing the system and I don't think we had enough control to make changes when we were younger either. This process has always been beyond the common minions control and make no mistake about it, we are all minions in the big picture. Don't mean to rain on anyone's parade, but it seems to me decisions that affect the majority, have been decided by a very small minority, for a very long time. It's just a game while we all just try to live.

Mostly true. But it's still on us. This past 100 years has been pretty close to an exclusive 2 party disaster zone in the control of just as you state, "a very small minority" that eclipses us in just about every way.

But you are correct in part - it's a game that the commoners like to throw tantrums about, piss & moan over, criticize endlessly...........all the while knowing that it has no effect whatsoever. You do have to worry a bit about the ones that think.

Or you can get indoctrinated at an Ivy League college and welcome to the club.

It cost $12.00 a vote to win in bucks. $11.60 to come in second place. 2020 was the year to sneak past repubs and dems.

Entire California school board out after disparaging parents on accidental Zoom broadcast
https://news.yahoo.com/california-schoo ... 17379.html

All members of a northern California school board have resigned after the leaders were caught making disparaging remarks about district parents during a Zoom meeting that was accidentally broadcast to the public, the superintendent said.

"They want to pick on us because they want their babysitters back," President Lisa Brizendine said during the Wednesday Zoom meeting of the Oakley Union Elementary School District board of trustees, a recording of which was posted to Twitter by NBC News Bay Area reporter Bigad Shabad.

The Oakley Union school district is located east of San Francisco and serves around 5,000 students.

"Are we alone," trustee Kim Beede asked before launching into a tirade: "B----, if you're going to call me out, I'm going to f--- you up."

"Sorry, that's just me!" Beede said as other board members chuckled.

"My brother had a delivery service for medical marijuana and his clientele were parents with their kids at school," trustee Richie Masadas said.

Superintendent Greg Hetrick touted a new technology in a fellow district that curtailed public comments at exactly three minutes' time, after which others chimed in that "we need that" and "good idea."

"Uh-oh," said Beede, when she realized their meeting was open to the public. "We have the meeting open to the public right now."

Teachers unions here are fighting tooth and claw for teachers to not have to work. After all full pay for a whole year to stay at home and do nothing. Man you sure can't beat that!

Sadly, there's a lot of truth in that statement. We have a lot of parents that are clueless about being parents and really don't want to be parents.

he death is the latest in a string of catastrophes to be linked to gender-reveal parties in recent years.

Gender-reveal device explosion kills father-to-be
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-56159731

A father-to-be from New York state has died after a device he was building for his child's gender-reveal party exploded, according to police.

Christopher Pekny, 28, was assembling the device in the town of Liberty when it exploded just before noon on Sunday.

Police said the blast killed Mr Pekny and injured his brother Michael Pekny, 27, who was taken to hospital.

Gender-reveal parties are celebrations announcing whether expecting parents are going to have a girl or a boy.

Police have not specified what device caused Sunday's explosion. New York's state police department and its bomb disposal unit are investigating the incident.

A spokesman for state police told the New York Times the device consisted of some kind of pipe, without giving further details.

California wildfires: Gender reveal party blamed for fire

Officials have blamed a gender reveal party for one of several wildfires raging in the US state of California.

A "smoke-generating pyrotechnic device" at the event sparked the El Dorado fire, which has now spread over 7,000 acres.

I read that linked to your initial post. Still bizarre; only with serious costs to others due to irresponsible decision making.
