Philly's Mayor Jim Kenny. Enjoying indoor dinning without social distancing. Mayor Kenny headed to Maryland for an indoor meal. Why? Well you can't indoor dine in Philly. When questioned about this. His response was." If the federal government listened to health experts. We would not be in this position" .

I'm not sure if that's an indictment of the mayor, Philadelphia, or Maryland. Maybe all three.

Philadelphia reels from second night of unrest, nearly a dozen people shot

Nearly a dozen people – including a 15-year-old – were shot overnight after looting and rioting in Philadelphia erupted for a second straight night. The looters are shooting each other. Lots of competition out there.

The protests quickly devolved into violent riots and looting of stores across the city. Crowds of dozens were seen ransacking local and big-name stores, including a Walmart and a Foot Locker. And all the Pharmacy's have been looted.

Philadelphia businesses targeted by 1,000 looters during second night of protests

Videos on social media showed stores in disarray as looters grabbed various items from shelves and left.

They surely were not elected. Maybe you could just look up the web page for NIAID. Bet you'll find a few there.

Some mentally defective person with a knife threatening others got shot.

Too bad the family didn't do more him like take him to the emergency room instead of calling the police.

At least he didn't kill someone with that knife. Maybe it would have been better if he had and ran away. No riots

Philadelphia police commissioner defends department amid criticism over lack of Tasers
https://www.foxnews.com/us/philadelphia ... ism-tasers

Officers were not equipped with Tasers when they responded to the 911 call involving Walter Wallace Jr.

His family’s lawyer said Tuesday they had called for an ambulance to get him help with a mental health crisis, not for police intervention. Wallace’s parents said officers knew their son was in a mental health crisis because they had been to the family's house three times Monday.

WTF is the matter with this family. They should have taken him to the ER

So what happens if the police us a taser and the person dies. The same $hit RIOTS

Reuters finds 1,005 deaths in U.S. involving Tasers, largest accounting to datehttps://www.reuters.com/article/us- ... SKCN1B21AH

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - More than 1,000 people in the U.S. have died after police stunned them with Tasers, and the stun gun was ruled to be a cause or contributing factor in 153 of those deaths, a Reuters examination found.

In the most thorough accounting to date of fatal police encounters involving the paralyzing stun guns, Reuters found that nine in 10 of those who died were unarmed and one in four suffered from mental illness or neurological disorders. Taser International Inc, the stun gun’s manufacturer, said its weapons are almost never to blame when someone dies after being stunned. Taser this year changed its name to Axon Enterprise Inc AAXN.O.

We get it. You don't like cities. We should all be living in caves :).

This is a family tragedy, and those turning it into a political issue, whether from left or right, are mindless and selfish.

From the coverage I've seen, he looked like a pretty big dude. If he said he didn't want to go to the ER, I suspect that the family tangling with him in an effort to force him was going to be a non-starter, even if outnumbered 4-1.

Even if the cops show up with an ambulance and mental health professionals, if he pulls a knife he's going down. Again, what's the right answer? I got nothin'.

We all get that if the dude with the knife was Jared Kushner, he would be much less likely to be fatally shot. But as has been stated, the police options in this situation are a choice between bad and worse. The people who are looting are idiots and those who are saying this is a police brutality problem are also not too bright. It’s a tragedy not a political issue. There are deranged armed people everywhere in our country, some with guns instead of knives. In rural areas there are actually more, on a per capita basis. And the highest murder rates per capita are not restricted to "blue" cities.

These types of incidents should not be political BUT they are. :(

These types of incidents should not be political but they are turned into such be everyone with agendas to pursue and people to blame from all directions, instead of addressing actual cause and solutions. Nope, point and blame, duck responsibility, and it's always someone else's fault. That's the mantra that we live under.
