I understand these originally had "steering wheels" in the cab that looked like a traditional ship's helm wheel with the 90 degree hand grips around the circumference. Excellent model!

Anybody else having issues viewing PRRK4s's photos on this thread? I could see them before, but now all photos are replaced by an icon and the word "image". I can still see photos posted by other members like Bob or Jim. Just not those posted by PRRK4s. It's a fairly recent development.

How odd. I can think of nothing in particular that would yield such results. Everything else about MTJ seems to function normally for me. I'm only having issues with these specific images, and more perplexing is that I was able to see them before.

My experience is some hosting sites don't "play well" with some ISP's/Security Packages/Operating System versions etc.
Six months or more ago, I had the same "image" failure with image links posted here from Drop Box when trying to view the forum using my business client, yet I could see them using my personal client. I've had similar issues going further back off and on; company box would open/not open embedded link, home lap-top open/not-open etc.
Just an FYI, it can be hit or miss with hosting sites regardless.

Back in the fall of 1982 I was able to see an actual live PRR steam loco for the very first time. Not old enough to have been around in the 50's and steams last harrah. I actually got lucky that day we went to Strasburg. The 1223 was no where to be seen. Only the #90 was running that day. While standing around taking in the sights the engine house doors opened up and out backed the famous 4-4-0. Evidently undergoing minor repairs or greasing and oiling. My dad took the first photo above. That's me with an old 8mm movie camera. Jump forward 40 years and with a bit of magic, I'm again watching a live, um, well, kinda live, 1223. A Max Gray kind of 1223.

My first trip to Strasburg was year 2 or 3 of the museum. I think the SRR was running 3 steam locos then. I have been there 3 or 4 times.
Love the area, trains and seeing trains. I don't care much for going somewhere to ride a train but will go to see a train. I have ridden some
tourist trains but really want to see them. Even diesels. As I have said before, your models are quite nice and, the best I can tell, accurate.
As Bob Turner has pointed out, it is too bad that accurate models are usually lost to the public after the owners/builders demise.
