Is the nearest telegraph pole bent? My eyes can let me see straight lines as bent, sometimes bumpy. The other one doesn't seem as crooked to me.

Yes, Roger, the telegraph poles are both wiggly and the nearest has a lean. I see that a lot in pre-1900 photographs.
