My someday project is a ballast car, like the ones Mantua made. Hadn't thought of wood, but that might be a better medium than brass.

Thanks! No, just metal wheelsets, although I probably should put these two cars over all metal trucks for weight distribution.

The bulldog nose is classic, but whether the nose upper headlight slants aft is immaterial too me and I consider myself a "rivet counter".

Maintenance of Way of some sort.....which by itself leaves actual use rather close to undefined -- some sort of work caboose // tool car, I think....maybe......but I'm not sure.........yet.

I'm a little confused. Do those two go together to make an inside and outside?
I thought the other side would be a mirror image. ????
