Twenty years on, BMW's only Le Mans winner still rocks it:

Unfortunately, no really long straights at Laguna Seca to really wind it out...

That 70 Barracuda that Keven Hart wrecked was a high dollar, professionally built, with the 700 HP Hellcat engine and trans. Now it's completely wrecked, maybe the engine and trans are salvageable.

Hopefully he didn't mess himself up too badly...health can be tough to recover. I suspect he has the resources to go buy another one of the cars.

Why does anybody need a car with 700 hp?
I know. Because. Because why?
Because they want it and they can get it.

Why do you, an eighty some odd years old man want toy trains?

Same reason Hart wants cars.

He should be smart enough to take some driving lessons!

If you wreck your train, so what!

You're looking for logic where there is none.

I enjoy watching the Motor Trend channel on TV. That channel features a number of car builder/rebuilders from around the country. They take old or new vehicles and turn them into completely rejuvenated mega horsepower beauties. The art and craftsmanship has to be seen to be believed.
Then, if I want to go anywhere, I am happy to climb into my entirely stock '02 4-cyl, automatic 4 door Camry, and drive away getting at least 25 mpg!

Yeah, you are right. But my toys at least have a place to run.
The driver of Hart's car apparently couldn't control all that HP but I guess they were having FUN.
Oh, by the way, I'm 85 and starting to dispose of my toys that no one in my family wants.
