Well, at least you get to practice your balance......you'll need too at 3 mph on that monster. Seriously, steam engines are hot to be around, much less stradling one with your thighs.

In regards to Ford vs Ferrari it will be interesting to see how much of the movie is about Ford vs Ferrari and how much is about Ken Miles. Who will the movie pin the controversial end of the race on?

When I went to the 1967 U.S. Grand Prix at Watkins Glen they had the Gurney/Foyt Ford MKIV that had just won Ford's 2nd Le Mans run three laps before the F1 race. What a beautiful beast!

A few years back I dragged the pretty girl to see the movie Rush (the battle for the F1 title between Nikki Lauda and James Hunt) in a theater. As we walked in she started laughing, we were the only people in the room. That's why there aren't more racing movies.
You begin flying with a full bag of luck and an empty bag for experience. The object is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.

John, presume you are referring to the staged 1-2-3 finish with McLaren accused of jumping the procession to the finish line? Team orders has a way of working out poorly.

I have a faint memory of the MkIV, which was a long-tail version of the GT40, wasn't it? Always thought highly of Dan Gurney, but not so much of Foyt...bit of a hot head.

I have a 95 Honda Del Sol a competitor to Mazda Miata and a small car. Tonight a new or late model Miata MX5 was parked next to my Del Sol. I was surprised, they were the same size, I thought the new ones were bigger. Also you don;t see many new ones. There was also a Honda S2000 there and it’s longer and maybe a little wider.

No, it is a completely different car.

Oldest 'Porsche' fails to sell after auction's bizarre $70 million mistake
https://www.foxnews.com/auto/oldest-por ... on-mistake

The sleek Type 64 was built by Ferdinand Porsche and his son, Ferry, between 1939 and 1940, years before their namesake company was registered in 1946. It was intended for a race that was planned between Berlin and Rome, but canceled by the outbreak of World War II.

The car was damaged and rebuilt by Porsche years later, then purchased in 1949 by a racecar driver, who competed with it for many years. It was last sold in 1997 to an Austrian Porsche collector who was the one offering it in Monterey.

But the McLaren sold for $19.8 mill.

I didn’t drive my Integra GSR for 2 weeks while it sat in my hot garage. When I went to drive it the lights came on but no crank. The battery was low on water and when I put the charger on it it wasn’t discharged a lot. After a hour it wasn’t charging any more, I let it go another hour. Then it started, but after a few hours later back to no crank. Batter is 3 years old, I had got a coupon for a special sale at Pep boys when I got it. I suspect it was a cheap battery but wasn’t that low cost.
I got a new battery yesterday from Walmart and will put it in today
