I wonder if they can sell it to the US. markets? No way they let a car in that tops off @ 250 mph. I think 199 is a US. limit.

There are Bugatti Veyrons in the US so that's not a limit...

that speed was clocked in Germany. somewhere around 2007 the US set top speed limits. It all started with a Mclaren.

Oh no! Don't tell me George Kohs was caught doing 250 in his Veyron!

I haven't had much interest in sporty/fast cars in a long time, but it used to be emissions certification that determined whether or not cars could be sold in the US, and it's probably still that way.

A quick search said there was NO daylight speed limit in parts of Montana.

This morning on Twitter, Elon Musk posted:
2.1 sec 0-60 mph is base model before adding rocket thruster option

I presume he was joking.

Maybe he can sell it to Don Garlits. He can file it with his self driving cars.

Thread on OGR finally imploded - lasted longer this time than I expected,

While I gain amusement by participating in and maybe even stirring the Kohs threads, I do feel for anyone who might be out the money. But with the constant beat against Kohs for such a long time, not to mention the possibility of death, it is no secret there could be a loss at some point.

By the end of the thread I think those with the grievance against Kohs confused a dentist from Tennessee for me, and even confused each other for me which was pretty funny.

Indeed. However, folks that cannot accept making such investments simply should not.

A Kohs thread pops up periodically w/o anyone actually following through on any action except for rantings which causes the thread to implode.

It'll re-surface in another year or 3, with the same complaints and rants, with no one having taken any of the threatened legal actions.

By the end of the thread I think those with the grievance against Kohs confused a dentist from Tennessee for me, and even confused each other for me which was pretty funny.

Those exchanges made looking in all worthwhile.

And while you're not a dentist, I have heard that you do contract to the Dept. of Information Retrieval,

Some of those that posted need remedial grammar school English.......or they were so distraught when they posted that they couldn't express a cogent thought.

Bob Harris from the OGR Forum has a style very similar to someone who posts occasionally on this forum, this thread. If anyone knows the real Bob Harris, please step forward.

Could that person have possibly been given the boot from OGR, and have slipped back in under a new identity?

When I saw that one post I thought the similarity was uncanny.

I wonder if Bob2 or Butch know. Is George DeSantis a real person, or an alias?

Not me - I just watch with some amount of amusement. And occasionally offer an opinion. And never say the word "censor" lest I get kicked out.

I've found that reading the OGR forums was like listening to the Kardashians -- both made me stupider.
