Work train is OK but the end ladders are not quite right for such a beautiful model building job.

Great! look forward to seeing the final "product" with the rest of train and that cherry mallet. I always wondered about the best way to build an O&W caboose, now I know, that is one really cool looking kit, and the thread makes a useful step by.

My mistake , I assumed the L1 was a mallet.

Never built anything in 3Rail but buildings, as you mentioned. All my engines and cars were RTR out of the box. Then the TMCC/ Railsounds horror shows began! One bad board after another, one grounded antenna after another. Never again. I am at peace with the Dark Side.

I guess that is why most of my stuff is pre TMCC , non command or Williams by Williams.
I have three TMCC locos but after playing with them a little while run them conventionally.

Jon - That caboose is definitely nicer than the law allows. Is there another caboose project on the horizon?
