Re: Seen in Print
This "news item" comes around every so often, it's about as likely as any of the rest of the succession movements of the last 70 or so years. Giving credence to fringe elements like this, and then the "mainsteam media" wonders why there is any credence given to the fake news/left wing conspiracy theories. Go figger!

Posted that one for Murph. Pretty harmless stuff, and there are some out there who would like to see it happen, and it's not like "Mainstream Media" hasn't ever perpetrated any science fiction!

Re: Seen in Print
And I posted the news of what I had seen on TV because there seemed to be such ire here on MTJ by some voices for California, that I figured it would provide, perhaps, a moment of interest. Personally, I have no interest in California, though I almost ended up there after college graduation (took a left turn, instead, at the intersection-of-decision), other than as a bystander and as an American.

Jjamppong is a Korean Chinese noodle soup with red, spicy seafood- or pork-based broth flavored with gochutgaru (chili powder).

E7 and Murph, I interpret your responses as both making my point. The news media has been complicit in it's own credibility problems, however, the certain elements of the body politic have been driving home a less than completely valid point since the Goldwater era.

The Upper Peninsula of Michigan has also been trying to secede for many years. They intend to call the new state Superior, eh?
You begin flying with a full bag of luck and an empty bag for experience. The object is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.

There are a bunch of folks in New York State who would like to see it split into two states. It is true that culturally and politically, the New York City area is very different than the rest of the state. However, the rest of the state relies on NYC tax dollars and would be in big trouble without them.

Are you sure that it isn't the other way around?

No. He's right, but the application of rational thought to these succession plan ranges from weak to non-existent.
As the literacy rate declines, you’ll ask yourself why the quality of life continues to deteriorate in ways large and small, and in almost every instance the answer will be: because people stopped reading.

If you like tomato juice, you'll love Clamato juice. So much more flavor and depth and you can't taste any one ingredient more than another. Tomato juice or Snappy Tom's pales in comparison. Makes for a great "Bloody Mary" too!
