You are correct.

No matter which interpretation, version, translation, language, you choose to believe of the "Word", it is ALL man made.

The truth is in the bible.

It is Hu-Man's interpretation, version, translation, language, (of the "BOOK") you choose (or are 'directed') to believe, that create the vagaritys and capriciousness existant since the "Creation", to the present day.

Neatly stated, Myron.

BTW, the Catholic Encyclopedia is an also apocryphal source of information....

Totally enjoyable learning more information, viewpoints, and stuff.

Life is complicated, so I have concluded tales of Heaven are even more so, and all the more varied.

P.S. The Power of Myth, by Joseph Campbell, I attended every televised conversation he had with Bill Moyers and possess the book, which I recommend highly to those unafraid to think. BTW, I had heard that he converted to Roman Catholicism on his deathbed, but do not know if that is a fact or yet another myth (!) (There's irony for you.)

Indeed. Good reason to be a Druid (Reformed).

I know you're trying to be (?), but concerning being a Druid, I reply, "Why not?" They had their own window in (or was it out?) so they had something to say, too, even if just to themselves. However, I would draw exception to the human sacrifice part, of course. Besides, how would we know anything substantive about the Druids since they wrote nothing about their beliefs down (it was a rule of theirs).

That's the Reformed part,

So, you just believe only if it's written down somewhere by persons unknown? Writing it down validates it?

Maybe not writing it down and having a rigorous oral history was better that having some king deciding to edit their religion for them to suit his objectives.

No. Writing it down INFORMS one who would want to know or learn or become acquainted. For example, I've seen stuff written about or by Islam, but that does not mean anything to me beyond being somewhat informed, Rufus.

As far as kings and popes and other leaders editing written/pictographic records, stuff happens. We search for the Truth as best we can. What's new or shameful in that?

The Hebrew Bible was also passed down by way of oral tradition.

An excellent point. As an example, certainly, nobody was present at "The Garden of Eden" writing it all down.

Btw, also on the point of dubious written records and dogma, Cane killed Abel, and was marked on his face so everybody would know what he had done. Everybody? What, WHO would that everybody have been if the two (?) sons were their firstborn??!!!!!!

Informs? Maybe, but the act of writing it down does not instill any trustworthiness.

Not wrong with it as long as you also are capable of independent thought and reasoning, and actually search for truth as opposed for settling for good enough.
