Open slats in the upper section tends to put me in mind of a corn crib or something that needs air ventilation for drying....

And doors(?) for loading(?) just under the roof-line. Tobacco drying barn? Although the immediate surrounding area does not look like tobacco country.

I don't know about that area but in my home area of eastern Ohio in the 1800s and early 1900s tobacco was a big crop.
Of course that was only evident at certain times and in certain areas. Apparently the whole Ohio Valley was a big growing
area at that time. Southern Ohio along the river still was a strong growing area into the 1970s at least. Talking tobacco.

I'd think that someone would be more upset about mixing the polk-dot tie with the striped outfit - I mean, really? Only professional golfers can get away dressing that garishly.
