On the square in Mercersburg....

Fountain is gone, but the house/store on the left with the dual chimney arrangement remains - others may as well....

Reminds me of Bethesda Fountain in Central Park, NYC (where SoupySails could be spotted on Sundays, back in the 80's [or was that the 70's ?] )

Well, he always seemed alert, but I'm not sure for what, beyond notoriety, that is. He wasn't the only lurker, as I heard it.

I like it. I don't mean to start a debate but it is a good example of the changing mores of our country.
That was real sexy then. IMHO it still is. I'm an old guy.
Remember how scary we thought the old horror films were and never saw a head cut off or anything like that?
Remember how sexy it was the girl in the movie took off her shirt and we saw her back with bra straps or
really risque stuff if their were NO bra straps?

Those scenes made use of the viewer's imagination - nothing better than your own imagination......

From the perspective of this old teacher, the distinctly unique personalities available in those faces is remarkable and very enjoyable to see. For example, look at the boy, front-row, far-left, compared to the boy, front-row, on the far-right; then, compare them to the girl in the back-row, second from left. Wow. And any other combination of comparison among the children is just as profound, it seems to me. That's exactly why teaching school was such a creative adventure and such a privilege every minute of every day.

Thought you'd enjoy this photo / card. Quite a few "interesting" expressions & personalities being presented to the camera,
