Seen in Print
Re: Seen in Print
I was under the impression that we were down grading all of our countries military mechanism so why we we need three?
That will probably be cut to one or two soon anyway. I am trying to be sarcastic.

There are at least 60-62 Burke class destroyers in service - 3 seemed rather low to me, but I have gotten out of touch with all this over the past decade or so....

I just wonder how long they were able to keep that tag before someone complained to the state........

I wonder why ANYbody would have such a plate made in the first place. Where's the humor? Who is the target of such "jocularity"?!

Humor is almost always at the expense of some other entity.
Consider this definition of humor paraphrased from Mel Brooks.......if I'm walking along side the street and fall into an open sewer, that's tragedy. If you fall in, that's comedy.
Consider W. C. Fields: "I like children. If they're properly cooked"
Consider Jonathan Swift: http://art-bin.com/art/omodest.html
Consider Sam Kinison: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_VURr6jnWQ
Consider Bobcat Goldthwait: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0qAfWWQJ5w
Consider Monthy Python: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXq6m_JFnKY

Re: Seen in Print
Too bad Jonathan Swift didn't give an equally serious consideration to an economy of words. Yeegodz.

Yeah, then I'd still be reading and waiting for something to happen.

Two men in black at the door handing you a copy of The Lighthouse?
Cthulhu awake and at the door looking for a few souls to rend?
Representatives from all of the current presidential campaigns asking for your vote?
A duck? (Admittedly a stretch but some do suffer from anatidaephobia)
Or..........................a clown, who informs you that he is on top secret clown business that supersedes any of your plans for the day?
