Re: Northern weather
In all previous years, a flock of migrating Robbins settles in the woods behind my house anywhere from mid-January through Presidents Day. This year they still haven't arrived? I guess they are smarter than us humans.

I think a bunch of them are still in my neighborhood.

The birds we do have are the cardinals - can hear them in the morning.
Another 4-8" starting late tonight through Thursday followed by what might be record lows for this area 4-5 degrees.

NOAA says another five to ten inches by late afternoon Thursday...ugh. Sounds like another three hour commute (uphill, both ways).

I'm not going in tomorrow and will stay home enjoying my antibiotics and codeine laced cough syrup, and watch a DVD of the Muppet Show.
I may do it again on Fri., too.

Rufus,
I don't need any but I think I will try to find a way to develop a cough so I can join with you in suppressing it
through the use of some of that syrup that will make me feel much better. Or at least not care.

Well, I'll still probably have to fire up the snowblower and do that job regardless.....but maybe I'll get my daughter to do it,

Codeine and Miss Piggy; the stuff of which dreams are made...

Re: Northern weather
Took me fifty minutes to go nine miles...hump it! I'm back to the house with my feet up...I've had enough.

We pay the highest taxes in the nation, highest car registration and smog check plus high insurance, I've lived in my house for 25 years so my proptery tax is normal but if you move the new house price taxes are really high. Plus constant Democrat/Communist party redicoulous new laws to aggervate you and cost you money.
Highest gas price and your constantly reminded of that plus the same with sales tax.

I wonder when the forsythia will bloom?
Not today at 8AM:

Or today at noon, when the scene was some whiter...

Bugger!
BTW, don't forget Daylight Savings Time starts Sunday, chaps!

Thank you, Prospero -- "We are such stuff as dreams are made on, and our little life is rounded with a sleep."
And, "Muppets in Space" was on today which made it all the more surreal.......
