Jon, Holy Kee-rist, that was one of the best short stories I've ever read!!

If it was true, I hope you're far enough past it that you won't mind that I LMFAO!!
Even if it WAS true, that was excellent writing!! 8) 8) 8)
Well done!!!

Man, the several lifetimes we live in our single journey. My ex-wife, an LPN, went on the get her RN, then her masters, taught school, became a supervisor for Evangelical Hospital in Lewisburg, became president of the Pa. Nurses Association, and is now running for state representative. Me and the redhead laugh that I hitched my wagon to the wrong horse!!

Dirt, Every word of the story is true about my first wife. Happened in Hobbs, N.M. about 16 years ago. The song just seemed to bring back the memory of the whole event. Just goes to show you that you can put lipstick on a ****, but in the end she's....well never mind. Beers are on me at Gomers tonight!

From the looks of that photo them boys are having an easy "morning tower". Not a "black leg" on any of those rigs!!!! 8)

Dirt,

Shows you made the right choice.Think of all the crap you would be going through if you were still married to her.

Jon,

Seems you also made the right choice.See you at Gomers.

Jon,

I am not even a Boll-weevil. I do not understand oil field jargon. I guess "morning tower" is like the midnight shift? And "black leg" is thick black oil? You can tell no "black leg" because you see no heated storage facilities to keep the oil hot enough to pump down the pipe?

How'd I do?

Wayne, You're half correct! Morning tower is the morning shift, following evening tower. "Black leg" refers to the thick plume of diesel engine exhaust rising above the rig as the crews are "tripping" pipe in or out of the "hole".

I know it's not as exciting as Jon's story, but would any of you like to see what my students are drawing after six weeks of my class? Remember that this is Drawing 1, and they arrived basically doing stick figures.

Can someone remind me how to post pictures again?

I'd love to see them, Tramp.
Regarding posting photos, I just "Post" a message,
and at the bottm of that page (scrolling downward,) it says "Browse". I click there,
which takes me to my Documents. From there, I select a folder; then, a photo.
Lastly, I hit "Add the file", just under "Browse" and then complete the message by hitting "Submit."
Voila - photo and message are posted on MTJ.

These are by Allison, Erica, Stacie, and Becca. The assignment was for a forest floor drawing.

So do I make "Boll Weevil" status for being half correct?

Tramp,

Those are great! Are they posted in order of grade? (A+, A, B, B-)

Dennis, I'm heading over to have a drink with D, but I'll meet you at Gomer's later.

Wayne, these drawings all received an A. Actually, the last drawing might be an A+ for its sensitivity and intense observation.
