Things that make you go, "Hmmm."

Postby webenda » Fri Jan 27, 2017 11:46 pm

You can buy Bachmann EZ-Lube for more or less than these Hobby Zone prices.
I just chose Hobby Zone to investigate who pays for eBay charges to the seller.
Hint--it's not the seller.

Thirteen dollars to ship that????? What a rip. But then excessive shipping charges are my biggest ebay seller complaint.

Conductive lube is used in the automotive industry for the prevention of water ingress in tail light bulb sockets, switch contacts, cable plugs/sockets, etc.
It may not be used as much (or more), w/ all the electronics present in 21st century cars.

MYmoo, it appears to be what we in the automotive repair industry call Di-electric grease. I for one wish that the factories would use it more often than they do. If you're a customer who has blind spot monitoring, rear back-up camera, and all the other crap they mount under the car in the bumpers and tailgates, you'd probably appreciate having it in all the connectors that are exposed to weather, 'cause those options are horribly expensive to repair. Rotted out and broken pins in the connectors means you're replacing both the component and the harness. It's a rip-off considering how simple it would be to have the Mexicans slip a little grease in the connectors when they build the harnesses.

Gee, Mitch,
Think of all the people they would put out of work if they did do that,
including, but not limited to you,(and I),
IF, "... a Ford and a Chevy would last ten years like they should...".*
I don't think I need (or want) to go into detail there.
