EXCELLENT looking model -- almost looks like a North Shore Line Combine ! Nice paint and finishing job also !! Labelle makes great kits !

I have put together a few LABELLE KITS... but NOT as they were designed to be, heh, finished ! These (see my TWO of 4 PHOTOS) is what TWO Labelle "Buffalo, Lockport and Rochester" Car Bodies turned out to become, with serious major, heh, reworking ! I have provided a PROTOTYPE photo of each REAL car as I modeled it !

They became Scale replica models of BMT Brooklyn Elevated Lines former "Kings County Elevated Railway Co. 1880 built formerly Forney steam loco hauled elevated trailer cars.

Car 197 was as they were ALL built as new as a complete class of cars in 1880 --- and car 734 was one of many of that class that were converted to center door cars around 1890 for Brooklyn Bridge loading crowds at Park Row and Sands Street Stations -- and this class of center door modified cars were also electrified and motorized as "Motor Cars" around 1900. The remaining unmodified cars (like 197) kept their original look and were electrified as trailer cars only.

Line car that I scratchbuilt what seems like decades ago now,

This car started off as a total mess out of a box of cars that I had bought none of which were remotely traction related in any way. After sorting the keepers from the fireplace kindling, the base for this was among those occupying the middle ground. I tossed it into the trash twice and then a 3rd time just before heading off to an NMRA convention. I chanced across a picture (should have bought it!) in the for sale room, but that picture told me what I was going to build out of what I had put intot eh trash........which luckily was still in the trash can when I returned 3 days later.

Another reason I like MoW cars be they traction or otherwise - unique cars with character and individuality......

Its been nearly 30 years ago that I built those (and most of my other ones) BMT EL Gate Cars. I am not sure if the windows were elongated -- but I doubt it. I believe the drawing itself is a bit off.
I know that, regardless, I had to do a lot of work on those two car bodies to make them replicate those 2 BMT EL cars !

Some freight motors were cute as a bug on rails, the Pittman being one of them.

I make my own resin castings, Wayne.

I was unaware that Bib had any resin castings at all!!! All that I have ever seen from him are the zamac sides for the little Pittman motor and the sides for the LV express motor along with the wood roof. As far as I know, he does not have the ends for either car.
