Looks terrific!

I notice these old interurban trolley cars seem to sit really high. Having seen numerous photos of Hagerstown & Frederick cars running through the weeds of unkempt ROW, I begin to understand why perhaps.

In part, this one's apparent height is compounded by the fact that the body sides are not down to the lower edge of the car bolsters. You generally do not see those in many cars Not much I could do about that other than to add a baseboard that would have run the length of the car, and that would have looked really odd, too.

H&F had some really odd ball shop built cars that if I could find enough photos/plans of side and end views they would be a lot higher up in my project queue. Right now I feel like I have to clear 3-5 other projects off the rack before looking for more projects.

Another fun little car - sides were an On30 laser-cut set laying about looking for an application

This started out as an IMP car in fairly rough shape; open frame motor was missing parts and drive was set up as 3 rail, too.

Ripped it all down and rebuilt it. Insulated the wheels in the the trailing truck and replaced drive with a harvested Weaver drive while keeping the original sidefarmes. Paint and all done...but I'm feeling it needs window treatments of some sort - view of that motor, etc. is not all that appealing,

These look terrific, and I like the size of that resurrected IMP car. Reminds me of stuff I've seen photos of that ran around Chicago a hundred years ago. Pretty interesting.

The little orange-and-green job before that is really interesting, lol. You've got just about every window/door treatment/configuration exhibited there.

The boxcar with doors at either end is clever, as well. Looks like something the old H&F might have cobbled together for the run out to Thurmont.

My friend Howard Lamey sent me an old Marx motor to use in the Paya trolley repro, but I pretty much destroyed it (the trolley) trying to get the cheap thin tin bits apart. Easy enough to get another one (or two) and try again. That Bowser unit was way too wide to fit. Put it aside for now so I can get the tunnel thing done for the wife.

Thanks! Sadly, I have no real use for the IMP car other than the fun I had getting it to where it is now.

Thanks! That was another old planned exercise that might have ended up in OST had there been time and opportunity. I had wanted to see what could be done with what had been marketed as an On30 laser cut set of sides to replace standard Bachmann passenger car sides. Fun

Had the parts laying about as stated "leftovers" from another project. Rather than let those molder about, I thought to make use of them and make another box trailer for the CG&W. Probably have way too many now, but again, fun.

I have a stack of ideas for using those 4 wheel drive units. I think those will get onto the bench soon, :) :)

Super nice steeple-cab of the CG&W. I wish there were more photos of the line...I haven't seen too many.

Thanks! Came out pretty decent after gathering dust for too many years.

I've got a few stashed away. Never had a freight operation as far as I know -- but I like the traction freight angle so I just get "inventive" for my fun.

Got a Class B-1 shell to tackle next, :? :? Got an IMP Class C shell in the stack but that's going to take the winter to address, and well, winter is coming...

So the Class B-1 will have to wait.....had this American Standard Gas Electric in pieces with one the side damaged laying about for too long and in the way gathering dust. Was unable to sell it so............build & repair and finish it. No drive but I've a marriage of inconvenience planned.

Basic body assembled.....floor and details and drive in the wings.

The doodlebug is looking good, Rufus. It looks familiar. Maybe a Scale City Designs kit?

No.

American Standard Car Co. was the name of the kit company (Ralph Brown was the original owner/kit producer); check out eBay for passenger car kits from this company - usually a good number listed there. They made a lot of passenger car kits that seemingly folks never built.

Scale City Designs apparently acquired the line and is bringing (brought) it back into production....if Scale City Designs is actually still in business. I've read that's a definite maybe....but I have my hopes as I'd like to order some parts.

Curious too that the description on the web page stated that the original kit had a wood roof; mine was in the original American Standard Car Co. box and had a resin roof.
