Wow, that looks so very close to the Philadelphia & Western Norristown terminal; especially the platform view!

Saw this shot of the B&O's Belt Line up near Guilford Avenue, 1901, during a time when the B&O used motors to move trains through the city. Interesting configuration over double tracks, one wonders what the pantograph arrangement looked like.

Looks like an adaptation of the scissors-jack.

The "pantograph" could swing to either side and the pick-up fit into a channel.

What are those, compressed air tanks? One wonders what they needed all that compressed air for.

Air - yes. Brakes for the train?
