Lionel engines. Typically missing the tenders they came with.

Except, one does not fit with the other.

One would think the smokebox plate with the "X" in a circle would have been a clue, but no!

Pre War
Locomotive 2-4-2, Lionel 999, number tag is missing on one side. Couldn't find the number in the Lionel Train Guide.

Modern Era
Locomotive 2-6-4, Lionel 8007 front wheels have a damaged screw. Looks like the plastic broke but is held on with mounting strap. (2019LTG - $65)"

There is a REASON he couldn't find a number tag, and couldn't find the number in the Lionel Train Guide.
