First thing one notices is the paint on the engine is just gone. Look carefully at smokebox front and pilot deck. Rest is chipped, flaking...pitting.
What shows underneath he missing paint sure looks like corrosion to me.
Interestingly, Lionel sold these in Super 0 sets, and all those folks who don't think the center blade in Super 0 cuts into the rollers....just look.
BIN of 195. Not worth 1/10 of that, whatever it sells for.
The boiler is garbage. The cross support guide off the downlegs under the cab is GONE, looks like snapped off. Part of the boiler, the part is not there to re-attach...junk.
Filthy. Didn't even use a brush to clean the carp off it.
Cheap plastic tender with plastic straight axle trucks. Useless.
Eleven bucks to ship from New York....not worth the price of shipping.
Opinion.

I picked up a tenderless 2018 at York a few years back, probably in slightly better shape...paid $25 for it. To be fair, the 2018 has no magnetraction and an O27 motor (if there's a difference). Shares the same boiler casting with the 637, which I never really cared for. For me, it was always symptomatic of the beginning of Lionel's effort to save money, with cast-on hand-rails, simple running gear, etc. $195...just silly.
