uhhh...no.
Brush painted red or possibly to be TerraCotta, inside is Mohave, so absolutely not "original".
I have never, ever seen one of these early tin electrics with a box coupler. Again, not "original".
Price isn't bad ($23.45), at one bid, the amount of work to cosmetically restore is a lot.
Mechanically, who knows.
Add $16.25 to ship, not looking promising. Add 'em up, forty bucks.

Isn't 1924 a little early for a box coupler?

Rufus,
Does your new avatar thingee have an actual scientific name of some kind? I know some do. Some kind of Mobius (SP?) thing.

Re: Vintage! Original!
A trip through the bead-blaster might yield something recoverable, but certainly not vintage or original. Funny, I don't recall the 254 being made in mojave, but might be wrong. I'll have to look it up.

in typical evilbait photo quality, hard to tell if Mohave or one of the olive greens.
NOT red.

Re: Vintage! Original!
Seems reasonable. They made 253s in mojave too, but they're tough to find. I'd like to find an orange 254 and 248 in decent shape. Those are tough, too.
