There really isn't an https version of the page but the computer system hosting the web site has https enabled, possibly for some other site hosted or for a section that we're not supposed to see? B2B material that's normally invisible?

I THINK the system is trying to decrypt something that isn't encrypted, hence the mangling.

If the site had been set up properly there should have been a nastygram displaying a warning/explanation. I have a bunch of NAS devices that have both port 80 and port XYZ enabled for different functions. If you try to access material on the wrong port you get connection refused/denied, not gibberish.

Well, maybe it was "drying"

Fingers don't always work the way they're supposed to. Alleged "auto correct" doesn't help.

I solved the problem by replacing the battery in my hard drive with a BCR and added magic lamp.
