There are PIES on the bakery table! Wow! Hurricane lamp on the table outside the antique store.

Each vignette has the figures posed in ways that they seem to be interacting. I keep coming up with stories in my head for what they may be saying/doing. Unbelievable!

That was really nice to read, Chuck; in fact, I read it aloud to my wife , and we both enjoyed your assessment. Thank you. I'm glad you are enjoying this.

When I compose a vignette, that is exactly what I try to do: I consider that the figures are interacting; that they are interacting with their environment; that any vehicles that are included become part of the visual statement, also.

Superb, Frank. Your creativity is always an inspiration.

Thanks for posting Frank. Terrific detail. Always love seeing shots of your layout. I wish more folks posted pictures of their layout.

I also like the scouts and their layout. Who, and why, are they saluting?

He's got boots and a side arm. Law enforcement? I know the mounted cop is in blue. Maybe a county mounty?

Thanks, Roy. In my imagination and intention, they salute some kind of pack leader or a law enforcement man in uniform (as Chuck concluded), done out of respect and as is customary for their troop, who has stopped to pay compliment to them for their work on the layout.

Here's a shot of the street fair's entrance area, which I have fussed with considerably over time...

That's a lot of stuff in a pretty small space. It doesn't look crowded, aka it's well laid out. The total level of detail is extraordinarily impressive, you've even got stuff up on the roof tops.

Are the big pine trees scratch built? Some of them look like Norway Spruce with the "droopy" branches.

Thank you very much for taking the time to post the photo's (and those are well done too, nice composition/lighting).

Frank
I have a suggestion for a new scene for your layout. This is based on the conversation you are having in the club car about the deer in your yard. As I recall you have a model of your house on the layout. How about putting some deer in the yard and a man with a big club in his hand trying to chase the deer away.

Or you could go "Clint Eastwood" and put a rifle in the mans hands with a sign that says "Get off my Lawn" :D

Thank you, Murph, for the clear image of the Boy Scouts scene within a scene on your layout. It is simple yet fascinating.
