Lucas,
This is thread drift. How goes school? What are your plans now that you have several [?] years in?
Or are you going to be a train photographer?

Hey Roger, don't mind the thread drift at all.
School is going well, just about to finish up the fall semester of my junior year at Wayne State University. I switched from a Bachelors of Music in Recording Technology to a Bachelors of Arts in Music with a focus in jazz trumpet last year. I've been staying busy, playing a lot, especially after winning the lead trumpet seat in the premier jazz band at WSU last summer. Now that I've moved to an apartment in midtown Detroit year-round I've been able to get out and shoot trains fairly regularly. Rail photography has become a favorite hobby of mine, as I don't have the means for model trains at the present time.

This is good news. The interest that you showed in the past in performance always made me wonder about your original choice.
I feel sure you will do very well. Do remember that the performance area can be crowded and tough. Persevere.
And good luck.

Lucas, if ever there were a person every one of us here (and I am certain elsewhere in your life) wishes the best for, it is you. It would be a wonderful privilege to see, some day, just how far you have gone. The sky is the limit for you. I am sure.

Amen to that!
The photos are excellent, as usual.
What year is your Jetta? I have owned a Mk II Scirocco (1984 Wolfsburg Edition), Mk II GTI 16v (1992), and Mk V? Jetta SE (2011). The Jetta is my current ride.

Thank you! It means a lot, and I will be sure to keep everyone updated with my adventures, railroad related and otherwise
George- I have a '12 MK6 Jetta S with the 2.0 and 5-speed. It replaced my B5.5 Passat 1.8T in October
