The Singapore reference was internal thread drift Martin, that Chinese company may be building product in SC, but it won't be Delta/Rockwell product. They killed the Delta/Rockwell line in favor of their own product, and rather specifically won't/don't do parts support. The only reasonable explanation for their corporate policy was to remove the competition in favor of their own product, at least that's how I see it, perhaps somewhat parochially.

I guess I read it to be that they were moving all of the production tooling from B&D and not their own product line - I don't know that the move has taken place or not, but I sort of thought that being in SC might be somewhat better than in Taiwan just on basic principle?
In any case, I'm not in the market for tools of any kind from anywhere having several generations of stuff now, some of which I can barely use, some of which I'll probably never use, and some of which just look nice on the wall in my shop. But, if someone were to give me a good large drill press, I could consider the possibility of maybe becoming sort of tempted to think about it, or not.
