I am assuming that you are referring to track plans I've posted here. The one in OST is too small and lacks those details.

OK. The small yellow labels with black numbers are the table numbers. The larger squares with white background and green numbers are the switches. Green lines running along tracks indicate the wire for an insulated rail. A blue/purple line running between a switch machine and a signal shows that switch controls which aspect of the switch to be displayed. Look in the vicinity of Switch #35.

Thanks, Neil. I am specifically looking for George's articles on the river pour.

I have a bunch of the older issues in PDF stashed somewhere. I particularly like the op ed pieces "Crapolla from the Cupola" by John Smith (Pecos River Brass). If I see the mag at a news stand/book store and I find an article or photographs of interest I pick it up.

Chuck, I have the most recent issue with George's "Pour me a River" article. If you cannot find the issue, let me know and I'll send you a scan of those pages in total violation of copyright. Officer, I'm a size 8 handcuff please.

Thanks, not a problem. Going over to Birmingham tomorrow to try to finish cleaning out my father-in-laws house. It's only a 20 minute drive from there to P&D. Since they are the only two rail O shop in the area they'll have it.

Got it. Nice article on the Panhandle. Photo's are really fleshing out the build along with the excellent narrative. Great issue. Like the traction box cab and appreciated the review of the Chevy Stake truck. Already have two in the stash and a built up tanker. Hope they re-issue the Ford pickup with the motorcycle cop next. Really is a quality publication. Modeling techniques are modeling techniques no mater the scale or the subject matter plus its nice to have another source of manufacturers for parts. I'll be signing up come Tuesday!

Thank you, Chuck!!

I appreciate the support of the magazine and your help here on the forum. I think OST is head and shoulders above the competition.
And I really like the Model Train Journal forum - always a very high signal to noise ratio!

Updated 9/5/2021:

Working on the conduit for the Stone Arch, the scenery and backwater in front of it, and an "H" fixture (double line pole).

I built hanging supports for the conduit out of Plastruct angles, wire, and Tichy NBWs. Tonight I got the courage to actually try installing them on top of the stone arch. They are a scale 9' apart across the face of the arch. I still need to install the conduit as well as some cinders and vegetation.

Updated 9/6/2021:

The conduit is DONE! :!: :!: :!:

Elsewhere, someone asked me if the conduit was for drainage. It is electrical conduit. In Grif Teller's famous painting, a series of telephone / telegraph / signaling lines end at an "H" fixture just east of the stone arch. They must have had a way to get across the river. This is my best guess at how that was done.

I will most likely add some cinders and vegetation to the top of the Stone Arch, but the hard part is over.

Nice work. Love the hobo camp under the arch. Details like the conduit and the camp really make the scene pop.
