Look what I am missing!

My friends all converged on the South Bay for the newly moved OSW. I really should be there; my excuse for the last decade has been that driving Memorial Day weekend was simply not my plan. But alas - I am missing it again.

SWRR and Maroon made it, among of course many of my other friends - and SW has authorized me to move a few photos, courtesy of his host OGR.
So, here is just some of the flavor of OSW, from his perspective. I would include more, but these are the photos I can get to without loading them into Shutterfly:

There are more - I will wait for you to savor the above, then I will do three more.
I have also photos of a Lobaugh Challenger at OSW which I could post, but you have seen lots of Lobaugh Challengers - and I have captured photos of that nice Erie Berk that was for sale in Atlanta for $900 and now on eBay for about $1650 (nice profit for simply carrying it from Atlanta to Kentucky). But I do not have authority to post them.

The above photos do capture the Owens Valley, but I thought at first that they better capture the terrain along the eastern slopes of the SD&AE railway, where the little narrow gauge used to feed gypsum to Plaster City.

Bob,
Thanks for posting the pics. It was a very good show IMO. I picked up about 20 pantographs for a song. There was gentleman giving away tons of scratch building balsa and bass wood. I think that there was really nice stuff to buy. The Owens alley layout was especially interesting to me.

That looks fantastic. The way the builder incorporated the background and the foreground is very convincing. Tons of interesting modeling in a small area.

As would I, and I'd like to get back to Chicago again, but both are highly unlikely. It's a good day when I can get to the grocery & the PO.

Any pictures of the rest of the show? Model contest?

How was the new venue? Attendance?

Thanks,

Aaron
