OK, I have seen some really stupid auctions but this takes the cake.

I'm not comprehending - what is stupid about the auction? The seller does not have a complete train; instead he/she/they have 1 engine, 2 RPOs and 5 Observation Cars.RDSRR wrote:OK, I have seen some really stupid auctions but this takes the cake.

Some of these items look like they have already been damaged.

Prices seem fair. If the stupidity is in breaking up things that really should stay together, I am not sure that is stupid. Maybe from some viewpoints reprehensible, but, hey, seller’s choice.
That P5 Boxcab is tempting, but I bet it goes for over $300.

When I mentioned "breaking" up the set, I meant physically smashing it! As best I recall, those models were NOT known to be that well done. I'm not interested at ANY price. Amusing that they use the names from Mark Twain.

You missed the boat; it sailed ~1 pm yesterday ---> "only have ~6 hours left".

The link should still lead to the closed auction.
EDIT: I just realized that the link is to a seller not an auction.
