Sunset. Probably 3rd Rail. ONLY Clinchfield Challenger with that road number I can find, note what appears to be NWSL gearboxes, altho probably Asian copies.

The funny part is the claim it's the most detailed engine he's ever seen.
"The most heavily detailed Train I ever had the amount of detail is amazing what a model not sure if it works my opinion should be displayed sold as is any questions please ask was displayed so selling as not tested "

It's not. In fact first glance I thought 2-rail MTH. Had to run cab numbers down. And that is assuming nobody re-numbered it.

Typical CYA..not sure if it runs, if it works, should be displayed, as-is, not tested.

7 bidders at $202. Good if folks don't get stupid and try to prove "it's worth what it sells for".

The picture of the label is puzzling. No brand or part number.

BTW, to keep evilbait from tracking views....just copy off everything from the left of the question mark.
Depending on your search, the URL can be 4 or 5 lines long..shows them what you're looking at. Example:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/403828979418

You may not care, folks who spout current wisdom may not care..but I like to limit their abilities towards ME.

This is a Sunset 3rd Rail Allegheny. Note the gearbox that looks like NWSL but is cast:

I would have guessed Williams, but I don't really know so I did a quick search. I found this old auction listing for a 3-rail Williams UP Challenger on Invaluable - Lot 102: Williams Crown Edition O scale brass Union Pacific 4-6-6-4 Challenger in OB

Also see this picture of the underbody - it looks to me like the gearboxes, screw types and locations all seem to match the Clinchfield 2-rail version on ebay.... so I'm thinking they both came from the same builder.

Without really studying:
Williams seems slightly small to me, but the tell-tale is the handrail with inset tube just above the cab windows on the curve of the roof. Williams did not model it; Sunset did.

Is a Williams, there are a few tells. I must say I prefer the black to the usual grey that williams Challengers turn up in.
