These are spectacular models, even 80 years after they were built. I have a similar collection, but sold my Madison Hardware tender a while back. The MTH and Williams Hudsons are pretty good - I may some day two-rail a Williams version.
You really have to see the cars in person to appreciate them. You can read "Bettendorf" on the truck castings, and each wheel has the correct foundry info. The couplers are not as good as Protocraft, but they work just fine. The truck springs are thick coil springs, unlike what we get today, and are much more realistic. Best of all, except for the box car, all metal!

Well that was a treat, the Hudson seems to glide along, If only the track was Lionel too, how different things would be.
