When are you going to post some more photos of your models?

I know you know what I mean. There are several here that make stuff
that actually looks better than the real things. I was around for the end
of steam and it seemed that the only clean locos without holes in them
somewhere on the PRR were on some of the top passenger trains.
Freight locos had looked like thry were on the way to the scrapper
10-15 years before they actually were. The B&O, on the other hand,
always seemed to have clean locos, even on coal drags.
I don't want to try to name the several because I will miss someone.

I say I play with trains and many O scale modelers will deny that they do.
But in my opinion you guys play with your trains also, just in a different
manner. I hope that doesn't make any of you mad.

By the way, I am very jealous of what so many on this forum can do in
two rail and three rail modeling.

I like all of those late-fifties experimental trains, they're just as long gone as the K4's, M-1's, F-7's and E-8's, PRR, NYC, NH etc..
The MTH Aerotrain is a remarkably good model that I would gladly buy. I'm not a very big "Toy House - Purple Box" fan in general but it's hard to argue with some of their models.
I regret he didn't last long enough (or more accurately commission earlier) to offer a BLW/Train-X, ACF/FM Speed Merchant/Talgo or Budd "Hot-Rod" RDC or Keystone set.

Back in the late 90's our local rr historical society was donated a cabin car that conrail had no longer the use for. Conrail 23111 happened to be x-PRR 477974. Search for photos of the 974 in PRR service soon began to help in the restoration and I was lucky to find this powerful shot on ebay showing a proud crew, no doubt being shaken by that i1sa pushing on the rear of the coal drag in 1952. Several years ago I attempted to duplicate that scene. Still looking for suitable figures that have the correct pose! The last photo is how the 974 looked like a few years ago after nearly 20 years of a few hours of once a week work. It has had a few more things finished on it since this photo was taken. The replica in the foreground was scratchbuilt to 1/29 scale.

After having it's interior gutted by a small fire this nearly 40 year old cabin has been white lined and is headed for disposal.

The scene that you use for photos is so nice and generically PRR I think I have visited several of your sites.
You do a great job of positioning the various props. Looking forward to more.

Thanks Roger. Glad you like the stuff. I still have a small stash of photos to go. One a day, but then I'll have to shoot some more photos. Yeah, I usually have a main focal point and some add ins if possible.

Another forced perspective view. Here is a cabin and its train leaving the yard while in the background a string of additional cabins wait for assignment. The N6b is an O scale Quality Craft model I built 30 years ago. The cabins in the background are various HO brass imports. They actually sit less than 12 inches away, instead of what the view is making you see.
