So how would I know they enjoy looking? Most will discuss almost anything except a locomotive or car photograph. I haven't even opened the one about baggage carts to see what folks think of them after the first post.

Well, here are more Daylights:

First, the re-drivered and re-geared Max Gray - my very first complicated paint job!

That is me, I enjoy the photos but feel no need just to (normally) pile on with unnecessary verbiage.

Plus, Bob, I seem to recall a post from you about all of "Nice", "Good job", etc filling up the pages on OGR? if I am wrong, I apologize, but I do seem to remember it.

You can get a whole forum of that on the great O Gauge Forum.

No, what got me on OGR was folks who mindlessly repeat whole blocks of nested photos and quotes to say "nice!" All they need to do is simly say "I like that Northern" or "why not try harder to get all the wheels on the track."

It got so ridiculous that there would be ten or so nested comments, with the same photos shown ten times in a row. Where is the value in that? I stated that folks could copy my photos any time except to repeat them in the same thread.

And while we will spend forever discussing a golf game analogy with respect to a relatively ugly Pacific, no need to comment on my nice paint job? Okay - the rest of my Daylight stuff can be seen on Carey's SP thread.

I agree and NEVER understood why all that stuff needed to be repeated.

It is the "reply with quote" button. That, combined with seriously low . . . I better not go there.

Only the ones who mindlessly click the "reply with quote" button or become self-appointed forum police by pushing the "report" button. There are some seriously good modelers there - have you been watching Ed Bommer's posts?

That's all I need - just 10% of the interest Dave gets with his eBay finds. Wish I could get him over here to examine my trackability. Here is the GS-2:

I shall check to make sure this is not a duplicate, in this thread. back in a minute.

Oops! See page 6. Last "Daylight:"

This is a Weaver GS-3 - 2-railed by my brother for Pat Gary, then to me in an estate sale. The Weaver tender is from a GS-4, and I opted to retain the rear ladders. the front has been converted to an open cab configuration. These things are stunning bargains, if not quite as accurate as a USH. I believe some were imported as 2-rail. They originally sold for over a grand - I think $400-500 is the target price these days.

I have not seen the Sunset versions - I suspect that, dollar for dollar, the USH versions at around $800 are the best buys for 2-railers. As usual, that is an opinion for a guy who is no longer buying stuff.

I have two more GS- class models. They will be appended soon.
