Let me re-phrase - this thing has handrails, horn, bell, and other things that go with the kit. I do not want those exact parts yanked off - just send me a complete body with duplicate stacks, horns, handrails, etc. And not the spark arrestors.

The end beams usually come off with a screwdriver. No need to ship them back and forth?

I will bring it home from the airport today.

Yeah, no need to ship end beams. Mine has bell and horn. PITA to get the horn off, as you have to remove the end of the cab.
The handrails on the frame, one right at the radiator on the running board, not sure if I can get them out of yours (super glue?) and it looks like you have a small one at the back, again, not sure. Would destroy paint doing it. They may not come back to you.

I don't want you to tear up the NP. All I want is stock handrails along the side with handrail posts and the standard handrails. NP body handrails are anything but standard; they go down the sides of the steps. You do not want to mess with this model. It is a blasphemy to convert such a well done model to 3-rail. It even has window glazing!

All I want back is a good shell - not modified or corroded - with standard stacks, bell, horn, and handrails.

For Dave, who seems to be a Dockside freak.

Ah, yes. Don't work well on track power usually because of short wheelbase and two axles. SuperCaps help.
I have one been in the family over 70 years an another substantially older, both Varney. Have a pair of John A. English Yardbirds (PRR A-4) one of which has been in the family 70 years or so. Work a bit better with pickup spread out further. Brass wheels and tires don't help.
PennLine, Mantua, early Athearn (ever hear of an Athearn Dual-Geared Geep? Have one)
Neat old stuff.
You see where I get my penchant for doorstops...those and postwar Lionel.

It sold for $162.50, somewhat more than I would pay at a show. Note that the paint scheme did not matter to me, it would have been re-painted anyway.

Sounds reasonable for a dual power NW2. You guys are like me - used to getting bargains.

A bit dear meaning maybe 10-15% high and given that I too would be stripping the paint and re-doing it totally - that's time and money I don';t need to spend on an A-N NW2
