G-M 2-6-6-4

Postby ScaleCraft » Mon Jun 15, 2020 1:07 am

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Adams-Son-O-Sc ... 3233816132

Still single unit drive (saved, edited with brightness and such), calls it the usual Adams and Sons.
Seen steviewonder 's stuff before.

$3500.00. Yes, decimal places are as listed.
Personal opinion, it is not worth 1/10 of that.
Something is wrong with the drivers. Corrosion? Paint all flaking off, flat gray underneath...looks fuzzy.
But not a problem. Just call Varney/General Models/All-Nation for replacement parts.

For that kind of stuff, he adds insult to the injury by wanting another 80 to ship it!

You forgot the custom hand made carry case.
Makes it well worth the $3500.00

The shipping might be a bargain considering the weight, but I'm still  about the price.

Tender does have Adams & Sons cast into it,

Go to https://postcalc.usps.com/ and put in the size of box and weight - not rocket science. Oh, fold in insurance, too. Given it's on the west coast, putting in pretty conservative weight and dimensions (probably too small) I came up with $76+ w/o insurance for Priority mail. Ground retail mailing not available.

but I'm still  about the price.

Order of magnitude high given most of these are pretty ugly messes.

Which is why shipping is of little concern.

Fun nonetheless to fling poo at the morons. I did have to go look to make sure this wasn't the same gold digger who wants $24K for Weaver NH coaches in 3-rail. Nope. This one Crazyfornia, the coaches New Yawk.
