...with that "Made in China" sticker, the clean sharp details, and the relatively thick sides, I think that this is most likely one of the Golden Gate imports. It looks too good to be a Fischer product

I have no interest inthe car but I am going to follow it to see what happens.
The seller claims that this is a Fischer car ...

Price so far is cheap enough.
On the same page, a link to this:

Unfinished.....jam the Kadee box screws though and split the wood....paint the trucks AND wheels silver...notice the rotted out side above the truck bolster?
I am particularly enamoured of the cardstock door in the end of the vestibule.
And the rusty screws.
Same seller in Flori-duh.

I saw the first one - price is right.
Second one - save the trucks and sides, dump the roof?
Maybe the seller thinks heavyweight cars in 2-rail are "Fischer." After all, in 3-rail they are "Madison." Definitions change - "Coke" used to mean any carbonated drink, and "Piper Cub" meant anything lighter than a DC-3.

Even if they're "Irvington".
Anything smaller than a Cub is a Cox .049....

The underside shows the plastic steps and what details there are, if nothing else screams GGD. This seller is silly or badly mislead.

Or illiterate.....as noted above - Made In China clearly on the bottom.

Again, maybe he thinks Fischer is like Madison, only longer. Not a totally dumb assumption, given the number of Fischer offerings now on eBay.
Misimpressions are easy - witness the Q Scale discussions of a few years ago. Or the confusion attendant the term "semi-scale."
