Layouts
Layouts
I asked in the Club Car about who had layouts etc.
If any of the 2 R modelers would like to answer, it would be appreciated.

Re: Layouts
Thanks for asking Roger, it's 13" x 50" double track folded dog bone, with the some sidings. It's one of my retirement goals to get all the switches and track fully serviceable beyond just the two mains, then overhead catenary, then scenery.
For now it's just "trackworld" and I'm fortunate to have it as I do work on a lot of rolling stock, kits, repair locomotives etc.
and while I do enjoy running trains on it, it's also a decent test track.

The kids like it too.

Re: Layouts
Man. My dream is a four track dog bone - 50" wouldn't quite do it, but 14'x 50' would. I need 14' to make sure I have a 74" outer loop for the 4-12-2 and the SP articulated chair car.
I now have a four track two level oval in 14x26 feet. It usually works, but is down for skylight repair. Photos later.

Some answer from Roger's other inquiry:
My layout (smaller than Roger's space) is effectively complete, albeit there are additional details that will get added. And, I have two extra lift-outs that I will eventually complete.
Collect, no. Accumulate; used to. Selling and clearing off a lot of the excess now other than those details I need to complete construction projects.
Some people have no idea what they are doing, and a lot of them are really good at it.
Re: Layouts
Roger my layout was featured in Dan Dawdy's O Scale Resource Magazine in the Nov/Dec 2017.
This link should take you there.

It also happens to be featured on the cover of the current O scale Trains Magazine if your interested.

Roger...the O Scale Resource Magazine is a free publication and is only available online, not by subscription.

Bob,
"I now have a four track two level oval in 14x26 feet. It usually works, but is down for skylight repair. Photos later."
How far out from the walls on the tangents (straights)?

Robert,
WOW! Two cover photos in a row on OST. Very impressive.
I just got#105 this afternoon and have not read it yet,
Where is the very realistic figure used in this cover photo from?

Re: Layouts
Roger the figure is from a company called "Artista". I like figures and this company makes the nicest ones in my opinion. The second cover in a row surprised me as well...perhaps it's time to buy a lottery ticket...

And share the winning ticket with me,
