If Lionel would have taken me more seriously on producing a flying UP diesel they wouldn’t be in this Crayola mess! :lol:

Yes obviously MTH screwed that one up big time, the proto sound 2.0 doesn't even remotely sound like the
prototype, the ice stoker is missing, and they did not include the rear end party car as seen in service photo's.
Finally the metallic finish of the set is almost mirror like instead of the aluminum mist of the prototype.
I returned mine to MTH after if failed to chill the contents of the third trailing car.

Here's hoping if they do manufacture Jon's DDA40x-727 they at least get the sound right.
Prototype kerosene flavored smoke would be nice touch too.

I'm consistently disappointed by MTH.
