Looked over the posted list of stuff on their site; lots of bulk lots that I'm sure we'll see broken down on table in Indy later this year and in Chicago next year.

Saw a grand total of 3 items that managed to get me to look closer at them................and then move on back into my shop to work on the models that I already have.......

Only vague interest, and not nearly enough so to go through the bidding process!

IMHO, this is the most interesting item: Lot 548: Unique Santa Fe Railroad auto rack display model

I'm guessing it is 1:15 scale. I believe the prototype is 85 ft (1,020 inches) long. Stout says that the model is 70 inches long, which works out to about 1:14.5 scale.

Looks like a B-Unit diesel to me. What with all of the man-handling and not knowing their *** from a hole in the ground, I don't understand why anyone would deal with them!

I watched the auction and bid on a few items. It seemed some of the car lots went high in bidding. The Northern with no tender for 1600.00 was a real surprise. It looked like a CLW to me. Is there something special about that engine? The OMI FEF-3 went low in bidding compared to others in the past auctions. I wondered if it was because the engine represents 844 as of late 90s? It was a long auction, over 4 hours. Would have liked to see it a little shorter in duration. I imagine a lot of the freight car bulk lots will show up on Ebay and swap meets over the next few months.

Odd for sure.
I have a two track, forty-inch, truss bridge I am going to unload.....lordhavemercy, must be worth a freaking fortune.

atlas girder deck bridges sell for $128.99-$168 on ebay plus shipping. These lots were for 6 bridges. If stouts commission is not to step these are good deals.

Internet buyers premium is 19%. Buyers premium is 16% if paying by check or cash.
Phone bidders buyers premium is 19%.

In house, attending bidders buyers premium is 13%. Buyers premium is 10% if paying by check or cash.

The deck girder bridges weren't such a bad deal, the price ended up being
$101.50 per bridge for the two most expensive lots, assuming that the buyer
was an internet buyer paying by check, the other fees for packing and shipping
not being accounted for. And as has been said here before, it's all in what
it's worth to the buyer! And it was worth it to at least one other person, as
I wasn't the only one bidding....

You saved me a bit of a wallow in their legalese to discover that!

I was curious myself since all sorts of numbers keep being ascribed to various auctions. I guess if you were attending and buying a lot of items that the differential in the premium could become quite meaningful. Had not known the numbers......
