Re: Eastern Railroads
Still looking for the Decapothe:
Like Dave, I discovered that K4, L1, and I1 share the same boiler, although the I1 is about 5" fatter. So I cut a Scale Craft boiler, added an extended Lobaugh Berk frame with H10 drivers and rods, and about five bucks worth of sheet brass for the tender. Presto.

Re: Eastern Railroads
And for Martin: This was done for Frank Thomson, of Philadelphia (RIP) and probably got auctioned off by Maurer a decade or so ago. All Nation drivers, and the rest scratch. I think Frank had me use a CLW tender.
Re: Eastern Railroads
More of the same high quality work from Bob. Ho-hum.
Geez, Bob. Where did you put the motor and drive train in that? Beautiful.

More pics of the George Stock Reading I8, a little closer.
I keep digging into it's past, and found out that my father purchased this from the estate auction of H. Jenkins, who was a Reading and SEPTA engineer.
This was in the early 1980's. Originally we thought that this model was built in the late 1950's/early 1960's, but some believe it is more like the late 1940's, early 1950's, as Mr. Stock was heavy into HO in the 1950's.
It runs very well.
Enjoy,
Hugh

That D 16 is very handsome.
You begin flying with a full bag of luck and an empty bag for experience. The object is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.

Re: Eastern Railroads
Eastern railroads are wildly popular for Easter! A bit further north:
